Show Notes
Green Day (Instagram): We’re making a movie... but more on that later!

Right now, we need some extras. Live in LA? Over 18? Free on March 25th?

Come hang with us at The Palladium and be part of a New Year’s Eve concert scene for New Years Rev (said movie)! We’ll be playing a few songs—a LOT of times (and maybe a few others). Movies take time, so plan to stay for 10-11 hours. But don’t worry, we’ve got sandwiches and drinks covered.

Perfect-Parfait-9866 (r/GreenDay): Unfuckingelievable. I got tickets last minute so I was cleaning my house one second then flash forward a few hours later on on a movie set with Green Day. It was really cool and really bizarre and surreal. Like seeing a song played 5-6 times with a 15-20 minute break in between performances. That’s just a bizarre experience but in a good way! That’s how filmmaking is. I can’t really ever say I’ve had an experience quite like this before. Kind of blurred the line between reality, filmmaking, and live concert. Especially since it was at a great venue, the Palladium. They snuck in a mini set when there was some downtime. Alot of old stuff. Pre dookie. And what’s better than seeing Billie Joe do Good Riddance live at the palladium? Seeing him do it 5 times in a row. Amazing. Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had

DaVatoLoko (r/GreenDay): Basically to sum it up as short as I can, They performed multiple songs, some of them were the same song multiple times in order to get the right angles and had some actors in between to film some stunts they were doing, LOTS of standing around waiting for the next instruction. They did perform a few songs off camera that were pretty great. Overall, long day but for a free set can’t complain!
