Elias: "This review is for Green Day's show at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver CO, on July 27th 2001. I was a little late arriving at the auditorium, so I missed the Living End. Green Day came on a little after 9, and the place went crazy. They played an impressive mix of songs from all their releases, and mostly songs everyone knows such as Basket Case and When I Come Around. Billie Joe took a few requests, and Tre Cool played All By Myself, and then they played 2000 Light Years Away as a request as well. There were several points at which water bottles were emptied onto the pit and Bille Joe sprayed the balcony with a water gun. He also put his hand down his pants and moaned for a few minutes between songs. The highlight of the show was during Knowledge when Billie Joe pulled three kids up from the pit to play the instruments. He did threaten each and every one of them if they were lying about their musical skills, which fortunately they were not. As the three impromptu musicians played out the rest of knowledge, Billie Joe sang the song and Mike and Tre coached their "protégés". They ended the song by having the kids stage dive back into the pit. They ended with Time of Your Life, then played Warning as a last encore. All in all, it was the best punk show I have ever seen and well worth the ticket price. When Green Day comes back to Denver, I will be there once again."
