Show Notes
"Me and my friend Kelly both really love Green Day, but that was the first time either of us had seen them live, and let me tell you, it was great. We got their plenty early to get good seats and sat around waiting for at least an hour. Finally, Green Day came out and opened right away with Nice Guys Finish Last, like all the other shows on the tour so far. They played around with the crowd in between just about every song. At one point, Billie told us to help up people who fall in the moshpits or after crowdsurfing, and apparently some jock said 'fuck you' to him. That really pissed Billie off, and he went off on the kid, 'This is my show, it's not a fucking football game. I swear to God if you don't help those kids up I'll come down their and fuck you up your fucking ass.' He tore into the kid for a few minutes, saying 'fuck' whenever possible, it was great. When they pulled up people from the crowd to form the new band, a friend of mine named Tony Martinez was pulled up to play guitar. This kid has a band of his own out here and just about all they play is Green Day, so it was probably a dream come true (as lame as that sounds) for him. They also did their usual heavy metal covers and even messed around singing hooks from Britney Spears and NSync and such, and everyone booed when they asked if they should play some Limp Bizkit, it was funny."

Stephanie Sparer: "This was my first ever Green Day Concert. My friends; Rachel, Nick, and I arrived at 3:30 PM for the 7 PM concert. We were 3rd in line! At about 4 o'clock we could hear Green Day practicing Church On Sunday, When I Come Around, and Waiting. I saw a couple girls by a fence jumping up and down and apparently you could see the band through the fence so I went over there to catch a glimpse of Green Day. I could see them practicing! Sadly, a security guard saw us and made us get back in line. (I hate, hate, hate all security guards. They can all go to hell.) We waited around for what seemed like forever. The gates didn't open until 5:30 PM but already the line was around the block! I was happy we got to the theatre early. 5:30 PM came and left and people started to complain because they weren't opening the gates. FINALLY at about 5:45 PM they began to let people in. I was absolutely VIOLATED when they frisked me. It was soo icky anyway.. My friends and I were one of the first 10 people in and we hauled ass to the front. Then we decided that we didn't want to stand in front for an hour waiting so we left, knowing that we could eventually push our way up there anyway. We sat down in the grass when all of the sudden, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Billie Joe and Adrian. I made my friends get up and follow me over to the backstage parking lot where Billie was standing there talking to a stage manager "BILLIE!!!!" We shouted "COME OVER HERE!!!!" He looked over to us where we were frantically waving at him and he waved back and smiled, but didn't come over. He probably thought we were psycho, which, we are, but hey. After waiting some more, Living End finally started at 7 on the dot. They played their set, unfortunately, I am not familiar with their music, so I couldn't tell you what they played. We ended up in the front again and then at about 7:45 PM GREEN DAY began with Nice Guys Finish Last. Instantly a mosh pit formed and I was thrown into it and separated from my friends but I was still having a great time! Here's the set list;

Billie talked a lot in between songs and told the crowd at one point someone fucking falls, you better pick them the fuck up, because this isn't a fucking football game, it's a fucking punk rock concert! Then someone in the audience shouted, Fuck you! and Billie screamed back, No! Fuck you! You little prick! This is my fucking concert! So you better shut the fuck up or I'll fuck you up you stupid fuck! Billie swore a lot. He said a lot of funny things. I wish I could remember them all. While I was looking for my friends during the song Basket Case Some really creepy guy came over and humped me. I tried to move away from him, but he found me and humped me AGAIN! I was scared out of my mind (this was 100 times worse than the frisking!) and frantically moved away. Finally during Minority I found my friends! I have no idea how.. I went more than half the concert without them! They were in the middle of the crowd and I saw the back of my friend Nick head and I just grabbed onto him and he pulled me through the crowd and neither of my friends would let go of me until after the concert. (I felt loved) We had all the usual from Green Day that you have seen in the other concerts; The bumblebee, the dressing up for King For A Day, the sirens, the confetti, and of course the destruction of the stage. All in all it was a great concert and I had a blast! I wish that I hadn't been frisked, humped, or lost, but if you ignore all of that, I had fun."
