Coors Amphitheater

Mike: "Me and my friend got to Coors and we watched Three Piece Scandal, the local opener, and also one of my favorite local bands. They were good, but had a few technical problems. Anyway at 7, Living End started, they were great and they played for about 45 minutes. They played songs like “Dirty Man”, “Roll On”, “Prisoner of Society”, and “Second Solution”. I forgot the other songs. On to the main event, at about 8, the warning lights went on and Green Day started their set with “Nice Guys Finish Last”. After the song, Billie Said, “Hey if someone looks like they’re gonna fall down, help em up and get um the fuck outta there this isnt a fuckin football game this is punk rock music!” The band continued into the set, and before “Church on Sunday” Billie said, “There’s too many holes on the floor fill up those fuckin holes!” so everyone rushed towards the stage. The played a lot of their popular songs and then they played the requests, “Dissapearing Boy” and “2000 light years away” then the op ivy cover,“Knowledge” where the brass section was introduced. During knowledge, Billie invited some guys from the pit to finish the song and he called the new band “the fucking assholes”. The fucking assholes played “JAR” and Billie sang. The set continued on and “Basket Case was a really big crowd pleaser. Later on, they played “King for a day” which was a pleasant surprise. They played “Minority” and then went off stage. The encore started and Billie played “good riddance”. After they played “Platypus”, “Warning”, and “when I come around”. Tre lit his kit on fire, and mike threw his bass on the flames. Then while the equipment was burning, they closed with “Macy’s Day Parade”. Green Day played songs from all the albums, and played for 2 hours. It was a great show and my voice was gone from singing along so loud. It was one of the most kick ass concerts I’ve ever been to and I will never forget it. I’ll be sure to support Green Day on the next tour. Thanks for a great show Green Day."

Unknown: "The show tonight was amazing. Green Day put on a really good show. The Living End was cool. Thanks to shari, I was able to get into some of their songs. After about a half hour set change, sirens came on and Mike and Tre ran out, while Billie just walked out casually. I'm guessing they are all wearing the same clothes on every show. The show was complete with supersokers, masks and hats, that bumblebee guy, confetti, and billie moaning for some reason. here is the set list:

There were lots of high points during the show. Right after the finished nice guys finish last, Billie was mad cause there was this huge hole in the crowd and he wanted people to fill it up. He also told us to look after each other, because "this is not a football game it's a punk rock show." During castaway, hitchin' a ride, and minority, he had the crowd chanting hey, then all of a sudden the music would stop and all we can hear is "hey, hey,hey." During hitchin' a ride, billie insisted that he would not continue the show unless the crowd can count "1,2,1,2,3,4." Knowledge was probably the best part. they called up a girl to do the drums, but the band didn't like them, so she had to leave. they picked up another guy who can keep the beat. Next they picked a bass player. Mike underestimated his playing. Billie told Mike to teach him the song, so Mike taught him the song using only 3 notes. but when he gave his bass to him, he started playing just like mike! he sounded like a pro! No surprise everyone was cheering. They picked a guitar player just as good. Once they finished playing, the guy on guitar started to show off a bit. Billie asked him "what other songs can you play" and he replied "all of them!" Billie then said "well hurry up and play something so I can sing" So he asked the kid on bass if he can play JAR, and without hesitation he started into the intro. Billie and Mike were singing on stage with one mic while tre and the two kids played JAR. After the song Billie said you gotta leave cause you're making me look bad. Before the drummer had to stage dive, he asked Billie what their band name was, so he said, okay, the fuckin assholes! the first two stage dives got small boos, so the guitar played made it up by jumping far. Billie kept us busy with a heyyyyy ho competition. he did a very long one and wanted to see if the crowd can do it just as long. Near the end of the show while the guys took a break Billie came out to talk to the crowd. he said something like "ah, fuck it, this is the best show we played. I can go home now after this... Nah, I might just stay here a little while longer. Forget going to Phoneix i don't want to go there. " They finished it up with macy's day parade with burning drums and a part of Mike's bass in the fire in the background, and it was over. I spotted Tre after the show in the far corner of the stage ( it was a big stage) where a small group of other people were calling out for him, but when he noticed us, he ran away. and that was it. Really good show!"

Sara: "Sunday night was amazing, the living end was awsome, scott was the best, when he got up on the bass and played like that it was so cool, i was in the front of the pit, a little to the right so he was right in front of me,a couple of times a circle formed and guys were moshing in there I got slammed in the face, complete with a black eye, the whole show was great, the mosh was packed, Billie was like, "theres a fucken hole, fill it up", people poured down into the pit, it was so crowded, im 5'4 and I got surrounded but huge ass guys, then I got kicked in the head by a dumbass floater, I hit the ground and blacked out, three guys dragged me out and then I passed out on the stairs, I woke up with EMTs and police dudes over me, they walked me out to bench but when the went to get water I wandered back into the pit, one of the big screens was over me and i could see bilie and mike perfectly, billie was so funny when he did king for a day, i totally don't get the bee trumpet player, but billie in a crown wiggeling his ass was hilarious, someone tossed up a green plastic hat, he wore it for a while, then tossed it back to the crowd, I got a chunk :), the "security team" was so annoying on the way in, they confiscated my belt cause iot had and they were studs and not spikes, then they jacked all of me safety pins, assholes, however there were plenty off people with pins and spikes in the pit, I felt them. It was amazing, after the concert scott and tre and some poepl were on one corner of the stage we waved and screamed at them but tre ran. if anyone saw me i was the chick with bright blue hair in the white shirt. I cannt wait for their next tour, and i even get to go to summerschool with a knarly black eye"
