Chris: "My mom was driving me to Athens and dropping me off, cause she had no interest in Green Day. I got the the place at like 4pm because i wanted to be in the front. There were only about 4 other people there and we quickly became friends. We talked about all kinds of stuff. We were the first in line and we true Green Day fans. They made us form in lines and patted us down at 6:30pm. Then we had to wait at another door for 30 minutes. At around 7pm they let us in. I ran to the front and was right up against the wall thing, right in front of the stage. The Get Up Kids came out at 8 and played for about an hour. Then we had to wait for Green Day to set up. At 9:15pm they came out and played Nice Guys Finished Last. I was so into the concert that i don't remember what other songs they played. It's probably the same as the other shows though. Ok, now the fun part, and i am not bull shitting this. It really happened. When Green Day said it was time for them to make a new band, i went crazy. They got a drummer first, and then asked for a bass player. Well, I play bass, and i was right in the front. I was screaming like crazy and Billie looked at me and asked if i really knew how to play bass. I said yes, and they brought me up on stage. I was so excited. Not only is Green Day my favorite band, but i was up on stage with them. So Mike showed me the three chords to play, and i did. They didn't have to kick me off because i was really good. I think it might have been my blue hair that got me up on stage, but i don't know. So after they got the guitarist, we started playing an Operation Ivy song i think. While we played, Billie sang along. After we were done, i gave Mike his bass back, and then Billie made us stage dive off. That was really fun too. I became a local celebrity and it was really really fun. I don't remember the rest of the show because i was still in awe that i played Mike's bass. By the way, if anyone out there has pictures of me playing bass, please please email them to me. Oh yea, Billie even said he liked my orange pants."
