Billie Joe: "It's a little known fact, but the last time that we were in Ireland, I got really drunk and sleepwalked in the night and I urinated all over my clothes." (mentioned on stage 7/13/2002)
Sam: "I arrived 4 hours before the gig feeling totaly stoked!The crowd at that stage was at a minimum 50 people,but within half an hour the place was filling up.After what felt like a lifetime they finally let us in.Everyone ran to the main ground floor standing area(this of course being my first concert,excluding Boyzone,i didnt have a clue wot was happening)the pushing and shoveing was unbelievable,one of the guys who was giving out the tags for the pit was taken bribes from all these tennyboppers who wanted to get close to Billie Joe all you could hear was“Come back to my place ill shag ya“ After being punched,pinched and jumped on i finally got a tag,So i went in2 the pit i managed 2 get to the second row.After waited for nearly an hour they turned the lights down and the bouncing Souls came on stage Id never heard of the Souls before but boy did they get the crowd going, They palyed for nearly an hour(I cant give a list of songs but i do know that they played Here we go)Then it seemed like forever before Green Day came on, After a string of sound checks, We were blessed with the presence of Green Day,(Once again the songs r all blured in my mind but they played simalliar to the english shows)The crowd was going mental,as billie joe squirted us with water guns.Then he took some guys Ireland flag and ran round the stage with it tied round him like a superheros cape.Half way through the set Billie invited three lucky lads from the audience to play with him so the three lads who were in total shock clambered on stage and managed to play while Tre and Mike watched on ,as the night grew on we all seemed to get more and more engery pumping,until some jackass hit me in my chest and made me have an asthama attack(Thanx alot!) so i missed tha last half an hour of the show which i got to hear through the paramedics tent , But i cant complain cause i got to walk right by the stage, I was like a 2 ft away from the band of course i didnt get to see much as the sercuity were trying to hold me up and drag me to the paramedics tent at the same time.I got to watch the last two songs from the back.All in all the night was rocking nobody wanted it to end,As we all piled out of the Point everyone left with smiles on their faces and the ringing of Green Day in their ears. A truly excellent night."
