Show Notes
Steve Appleford: "An Endless Summer for Green Day - From the mud of Woodstock to Lollapalooza, this Berkeley rock band keeps the fans on their feet. It's early Sunday afternoon and Green Day is sending thousands of Lollapalooza '94 fans into the usual swirling, euphoric frenzy. The retro-punk of the trio's "Welcome to Paradise" is greeted with a torrent of flying shoes and water bottles. At least there is no mud. 'Look at this,' bassist Mike Dirnt, 22, tells the crowd gathered at Cal State Dominguez Hills for the next-to-the-last show on this year's Lollapalooza tour. 'It's the poor man's Woodstock. I don't see as many hippies.'"

sunny6977: "I was 17 and broke but I remember it was horribly hot and some bands would spray us with water so it was muddy and everyone was jumping in it and having an amazing time."

Shayne Stacy: "Wow, I am surprised that I have never posted this one. I took my step son to this show. He was 11 year old and weighed about 80lbs. When Green Day and Beastie Boys played, the crowd went apeshit and we were crushed/blocked in with a bunch of other people. We would pick our feet up and move 10-15ft at a time. It was both fun and terrifying. You will hear that the recording suffers a bit from the chaos & me yelling to my stepson(safety was a priority at that point) , but I like it anyway."
