Show Notes
RobotWizard: "Green Day, Tilt and Puck at First Avenue in Minneapolis. March 29, 1994. I was 15."
Joe Frost: "I watch Billie Joe Armstrong spit a loogie into an idiot's mouth on the First Avenue mainroom stage, headlining a $4 show."
John Mulhouse: "I had a complimentary ticket, but I recall the door price being a whopping $4. It was also totally sold out and I remember rumors of tickets going for $70. The only song I recall them playing is, perhaps unfortunately, 'Eye of the Tiger' from the covers section."
Robert: "Green Day, March 1994. I bought tickets well in advance. They were $4. The week before the show 'Longview' blew up and was all over MTV. (Remember when they played videos?) The buzz and anticipation inside was at a fever pitch. You could tell they were on the verge of getting huge. Every song turned into a sing-along, even though it was clear that half the room only bought 'Dookie' in the past month."
